Azerbaijan, Armenia hold deputy FMs’ talks in Geneva PHOTO
The Deputy Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia met in Geneva for discussions focused on confidence-building efforts, as diplomatic contacts between the two countries continue at multiple levels.
Thus, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Elnur Mammadov, and his Armenian counterpart, Robert Abisoghomonyan, held talks on the sidelines of the 61st session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Foreign Ministry.
According to an official statement, the meeting followed earlier contacts conducted at higher political levels, signalling ongoing engagement between Baku and Yerevan amid efforts to stabilise relations after years of tensions.
The two deputy ministers discussed potential confidence-building measures within multilateral platforms and international organisations.
