Azerbaijan, Australia discuss green energy cooperation

Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov has received a delegation headed by Chairman of the Australian Fortescue Future Industries Andrew Forrest, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan.

The investment cooperation in "green energy", the effective use of the Caspian Sea's wind potential, as well as the production and export of "green hydrogen" were discussed at the meeting, the Azerbaijani Energy Ministry told Report.

The representatives of the company were informed about the history of Azerbaijan's energy sector, the infrastructure for the export of hydrocarbons, the potential of "green energy", and the strategic goals in this sphere.

The spheres of the company's activity, its achievements, activity and goals in combating climate change, green industry projects and the plans of reducing damage to nature in the spheres in which it is difficult to conduct decarbonisation were discussed.
