The Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency (AMADA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Austrian National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA Austria), establishing a framework for enhanced collaboration in anti-doping efforts.
The memo was signed as part of AMADA leadership’s working visit to Austria, AMADA told Azertag.
Signed by AMADA Executive Director Tahmina Taghi-zada and NADA Austria Executive Director Michael Sepic, the MoU outlines joint activities in accordance with the World Anti-Doping Code and international standards. Key areas of cooperation include results management, anti-doping education and prevention, testing, research, and investigations, with particular focus on exchanging experience, sharing best practices, and providing advisory support for complex tasks.
The AMADA delegation, which included Executive Director Tahmina Taghi-zada and Deputy Executive Director Rufat Afandiyev, also held a series of business meetings at NADA Austria’s headquarters. During these meetings, the delegation received briefings on legal and educational aspects, scientific research, and testing methodologies.
