Azerbaijani, Bahraini FMs push for de-escalation in Middle East
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and his Bahraini counterpart Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani held a phone call to exchange views on escalating tensions in the Middle East and called for de-escalation.
The ministers discussed the recent military escalation, rising security concerns, and potential consequences for the region, Caliber.Az reports, citing the foreign ministry.
Both expressed serious concern over the rapidly changing situation, warning that further escalation could threaten regional stability and security.
They emphasised the need for urgent de-escalation measures and the importance of keeping diplomatic channels open.
Special attention was also given to upholding international humanitarian law and protecting civilians and critical infrastructure.
