Azerbaijan, Bahrain sign MoU to boost interparliamentary cooperation PHOTO
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan and the Council of Representatives of the Kingdom of Bahrain, aiming to strengthen bilateral parliamentary cooperation and promote closer legislative collaboration.
The document was signed by Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova and Chairman of the Council of Representatives of Bahrain Ahmad bin Salman Al-Musallam, Caliber.Az reports, citing the press service of the Milli Majlis.

Gafarova highlighted the significance of the MoU, noting that it will play an important role in elevating interparliamentary relations to a new level, including expanding cooperation within committees, friendship groups, parliamentary administrations, and international organizations.
Earlier, Speaker Sahiba Gafarova met with Chairman of the Consultative Council of the Kingdom of Bahrain Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh during her official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh welcomed her warmly and expressed confidence that the visit would deepen bilateral and parliamentary relations, emphasizing Bahrain’s interest in closer cooperation with Azerbaijan.
Gafarova thanked her host for the hospitality and noted that her first official visit to Bahrain would provide opportunities to discuss advancing bilateral relations.
The leaders highlighted shared cultural and religious values, successful cooperation within international and regional organizations, and the effective interparliamentary ties strengthened by mutual visits and exchanges.
