Azerbaijan, Belarus discuss prospects of cooperation
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and his Belarusian counterpart Sergei Aleinik have discussed prospects of cooperation in a telephone conversation.
The sides noted with satisfaction the high level of relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus and discussed prospects of their further development, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry’s website.
Bayramov congratulated Aleinik on his appointment as the foreign minister and wished him success in his work.
Aleinik conveyed his satisfaction with the strategic dialogue and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Belarus and said that Belarus constantly supports peace and stability in the region.
During the phone conversation, other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
At the end of the conversation, Bayramov invited Aleinik to pay a visit to Azerbaijan.
Meanwhile, Belarus-Azerbaijan business cooperation has been discussed in Minsk.
Director of the Belarus National Centre for Marketing (NCM) Nikolai Borisevich held a meeting with Azerbaijani Ambassador to Belarus Ulvi Bakhshaliyev.
The meeting focused on the development of business cooperation between the two countries, BELTA informs, citing the NCM press service.
The sides talked about the strengthening of partnerships between the NCM and Azerbaijani companies dealing with foreign trade, and the NCM’s readiness to assist the Azerbaijani Embassy in Minsk in studying the economic potential of the Belarusian regions.
Bakhshaliyev and Borisevich noted the importance of jointly arranging events for the business community and the need to create favourable conditions for business that would correspond to the strong ties of a long-standing friendship between Belarus and Azerbaijan.
