Azerbaijan, Belarus eye new avenues for military-technical cooperation PHOTO
Colonel General Karim Valiyev, First Deputy Minister of Defence and Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, has met with Major General Pavel Muraveiko, First Deputy Minister of Defence and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus, during a working visit to the country.
The sides engaged in both one-on-one and expanded-format discussions aimed at deepening strategic defence ties between their respective countries, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Defence Ministry.
The agenda included a thorough review of current bilateral military cooperation, with both parties expressing interest in expanding joint initiatives and advancing military-technical collaboration. Particular attention was paid to enhancing coordination mechanisms and exploring new areas for partnership.
The generals also exchanged views on key regional security issues, underlining the importance of stability and cooperation in an increasingly complex geopolitical environment.
Discussions further included a broad exchange of views on matters of mutual interest.
