Azerbaijan, Belarus ink new deals on cooperation in social services and industrial supply

In the framework of an extended meeting between the prime ministers of Azerbaijan and Belarus, Ali Asadov and Alexander Turchin, a series of bilateral agreements were signed at the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan, reflecting deepening cooperation in both the social and industrial sectors.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Agency for Sustainable and Operational Social Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republican Unitary Enterprise "National Center for Electronic Services" of the Republic of Belarus, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

The document was signed by Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan, Anar Aliyev and Ambassador of Belarus to Azerbaijan, Dmitry Pinevich.

In addition, an Action Plan for 2025–2026 was signed for the implementation of a previously concluded Memorandum of Understanding between the respective ministries of labour and social protection of both countries. This document was signed by Minister Anar Aliyev and First Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Belarus Tatyana Astreiko.

The meeting also resulted in important industrial agreements aimed at boosting cooperation in machinery and vehicle supply. A Memorandum on the development of cooperation in the supply of tractor equipment was signed between the Ganja Automobile Plant and the Minsk Tractor Works. The agreement was signed by Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Ganja Automobile Plant Khanlar Fatiyev and Director General of Minsk Tractor Works Sergey Avramenko.

Additionally, the Ganja Automobile Plant signed a contract with the Minsk Automobile Plant for the delivery of machine kits for municipal vehicles. This contract was signed by Khanlar Fatiyev and Director General of the Minsk Automobile Plant Valery Ivankovich.

Notably, Belarus Prime Minister Alexander Turchin arrived on an official visit to Baku earlier today, May 5.
