Azerbaijan, Brazil moot prospects for developing ties PHOTO

The fourth round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Brazil was held in Baku on February 29, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told Report.

The Azerbaijani delegation was headed by Deputy Minister Elnur Mammadov, while the Secretary-General (First Deputy Minister) of the Brazilian Foreign Ministry, Maria Laura da Rocha led the Brazilian delegation.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Brazilian guest handed over a congratulatory letter addressed to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on behalf of Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva on the occasion of his re-election as head of state and asked to pass the message to its highest addressee.

A wide-ranging exchange of views was held on the current state of and prospects for developing relations between the two countries in the political, economic, energy, transport, tourism and humanitarian fields, in particular education, culture, agriculture and the organisation of customs. Reciprocal support was expressed for the creation of a legal framework.
