Azerbaijan, Bulgaria reaffirm strategic partnership PHOTO
Ambassador Elmar Mammadov has presented his credentials to the Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Iliana Yotova, marking the formal commencement of his diplomatic mission in Sofia.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Mammadov conveyed the greetings and best wishes of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, to the Bulgarian leadership, the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Bulgaria reports.
He expressed his honour at assuming his post in the Republic of Bulgaria and reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthening the friendly relations and strategic partnership between the two countries.
In the subsequent meeting, Vice President Yotova welcomed the ambassador and noted the positive development of bilateral cooperation in recent years. Both sides reaffirmed the strategic partnership established between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria in 2015, underlining the importance of deepening collaboration across a broad range of sectors.
The discussions also highlighted mutual interest in maintaining constructive political dialogue and expanding practical cooperation within the framework of existing bilateral agreements.
