Azerbaijan chairs BSEC meeting on tourism cooperation, focuses on regional development
The 2nd meeting of the Organization of Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) working group on cooperation in the tourism sector convened on May 7, bringing together representatives from member states in a video-conference format.
Chaired by Jalil Malikov, Deputy Head of the Office of the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan, the meeting delved into various discussions aimed at bolstering tourism collaboration in the region, Report informs.
Key topics on the agenda included deliberations on sustainable tourism development across BSEC member countries, upcoming events slated for 2023-2024 under Azerbaijan's chairmanship, and efforts to enhance relations among member states. Additionally, participants reviewed the outcomes of the inaugural meeting of BSEC tourism educational institutions, which Azerbaijan hosted in Baku on April 22-23.
The first meeting of the working group on cooperation in the tourism sector of the BSEC was held last October.
