Azerbaijan, China discuss financial sector reforms, cooperation in Beijing meeting Photo

Azerbaijan's Central Bank Chairman Taleh Kazimov met with Li Yunze, Head of China’s National Financial Regulatory Administration, during a working visit to Beijing. 

Both sides exchanged detailed views on recent economic innovations and ongoing reforms in their respective countries, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Central Bank.

Discussions covered trends in the development of the banking and insurance sectors, as well as the concept of risk-based supervision and improvements in supervisory technologies. Officials also discussed the use of artificial intelligence–based tools in regulatory oversight.

The meeting included an exchange of experience on new approaches and innovative solutions in the insurance sector.

The talks also explored opportunities to expand cooperation between the financial supervisory bodies of Azerbaijan and China.
