Azerbaijan clearing Tartar-Agdere road of mines Statement by MoD

Spokesman for the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry, Colonel Anar Eyvazov has said that the Tartar-Agdere road, through which the “Ohanyan Line” (former Defence Minister Seyran Ohanyan), mythologised by Armenia, passed, is being cleared of mines.

“The Tartar-Agdere road is a road in the direction of settlements liberated after the anti-terrorist measures carried out by Azerbaijan in Karabakh. There were combat positions along this road during 30 years of occupation, and the “Ohanyan Line”, mythologised by Armenia, passed through it. There are quite a lot of mines in these areas. There were also separatist combat positions here during the period of occupation,” Eyvazov told Report.

He noted that after the positions were cleared of separatists, communication lines were put into operation.

“This road has been cleared of mines and put into operation, but the surrounding area has not been completely cleared of mines,” the spokesman added.
