Azerbaijan clears liberated lands of mines PHOTO/VIDEO

Some 199 anti-tank and 94 anti-personnel mines were revealed and defused over the past week as a result of the activity of units of the Engineering Troops of the Azerbaijani Army in the liberated territories.

Moreover, as a result of cooperation with other state agencies, up to eight kilometres of new supply routes were laid for the safe movement of vehicles through areas with difficult terrain, including difficult rocky terrain. In a short period of time, up to 300 kilometres of existing supply routes were improved and restored, Caliber.Az reports citing the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry.

The main efforts are aimed at demining settlements, cultivated areas, roads and infrastructure facilities in the liberated territories.

Appropriate engineering support measures are being taken in these areas.
