Azerbaijan climbs up ladder in broadband internet speed ranking
Azerbaijan has climbed up the ladder to rank 61st in terms of mobile internet speed among the world countries in December 2022.
According to Report, referring to Speedtest Global Index, only a month earlier the country ranked three positions lower with 34.93 MB/s speed.
In comparison with 2021, Azerbaijan ranked 116th in the world in terms of the average speed of fixed broadband Internet, with a then average speed for fixed broadband of 27.15 MB/s.
The study was carried out in 178 countries worldwide, with Singapore ranking at the top of the list for fixed broadband connections with 225.71 MB/s while Cuba ranked last (1.91 MB/s).
In the ranking for mobile internet speed, Qatar ranks first with 169.51 MB/s and Afghanistan last at 141st position at 5.18 MB/s.
