Azerbaijan condoles with families of victims in Tajikistan
The Azerbaijani Foreign Affairs has expressed condolences to the families of those killed in Tajikistan as a result of heavy rains and landslides.
“Deeply saddened by news on many loss of lives caused by heavy rains and landslides in several regions of Tajikistan. We express our heartfelt condolences to the families of victims. Our solidarity is with friendly Government & People of Tajikistan,” the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in a post on "X". Caliber.Az reports.
To recap, mudslides triggered by heavy rains killed 13 people in Tajikistan on August 27.
Unverified photos and footage posted on social media from sites in the town of Vakhdat and the Rudaki district, both just outside the capital Dushanbe, showed cars on flooded mountain roads badly damaged by mudslides and large rocks.
