Azerbaijan pushes ahead wth Clean Energy Centre project, official says
Azerbaijan Continues Work on Clean Energy Centre, Mukhtar Babayev, Azerbaijan’s presidential representative on climate issues, has stated.
During the 6th Ministerial Meeting on Environment in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, he said the importance of practical and results-oriented regional cooperation in addressing environmental challenges — including climate change, biodiversity loss, air pollution, land degradation and resource efficiency — has increased, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
According to him, during COP29 in Baku, the RESCUE initiative was launched jointly with the Secretariat of the Economic Cooperation Organisation to support the transition toward more sustainable and resource-efficient economies in the region.
Babayev further noted that Azerbaijan is continuing work on establishing a Clean Energy Centre in Baku.
