Azerbaijan, Costa Rica focus on expanding bilateral cooperation
Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with visiting Francisco Gamboa, First Vice President of Costa Rica, to discuss opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation, including in the field of green energy.
Gamboa is visiting Azerbaijan to take part in the Global Baku Forum, now in its 13th edition, Caliber.Az reports citing the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Both sides emphasized the importance of his participation in the conference.
During the meeting, the officials discussed prospects for strengthening Azerbaijan–Costa Rica relations across several sectors, including economic cooperation, investment, humanitarian ties, and renewable energy development as well as others.
They also noted that amid rising global tensions and complex geopolitical developments, the forum serves as an important platform for promoting dialogue, strengthening mutual trust, and expanding international cooperation.
The meeting was also attended by Rebeca Grynspan, Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
