Azerbaijan-Czech friendship blossoms at Damiraghaj Park through tree planting initiative PHOTO
The picturesque Damiraghaj park in Azerbaijan's Lankaran district has emerged as a symbolic testament to the enduring friendship between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic.
Ambassador Milan Sedláček highlighted this bond during an event, underscoring the park's significance as a focal point of bilateral cooperation on environmental conservation, Caliber.Az reports citing local media.
"In 2023, in collaboration with Azerbaijan's Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, we planted 100 ironwood trees here for the first time. This year, as part of the Year of Solidarity for a Green World and COP-29 initiatives in Azerbaijan, we expanded Damiraghaj Park by planting an additional 101 trees in April," Ambassador Sedláček remarked.
The Ambassador expressed delight at the Azerbaijani people's enthusiasm for nature and their active participation in tree planting activities. He emphasized the potential of annual tree planting events to further enhance the park's growth, strengthen collaborative efforts in environmental protection, and deepen the friendly relations between both nations.
