Azerbaijani defence chief offers condolences after Pakistan helicopter crash
Azerbaijan’s Defence Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, has extended condolences to Pakistan following a fatal military helicopter crash that killed all personnel on board.
According to Caliber.Az, citing Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defence, Hasanov addressed his message to the Commander of the Pakistan Army and Chief of Defence Services, Field Marshal Sayed Asim Munir.
“I am deeply saddened by the news of the crash of a Pakistani Army MI-17 helicopter near the city of Muzaffarabad due to a technical fault and the loss of the crew members. In connection with this air disaster, I extend my condolences to the families of the victims and share in the pain of their loss. May Allah have mercy on them,” the message reads.
An Mi-17 helicopter operated by Pakistan Army Aviation crashed near Muzaffarabad on June 10 during take-off, reportedly due to a technical fault.
All personnel on board the military helicopter were killed in the crash.
