Azerbaijan defence ministry holds media training on information security VIDEO
The Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan has conducted a training session for media representatives focused on information security, crisis communication, and military-media relations.
The event brought together representatives from the Defence Ministry, the Media Development Agency, and members of the media, Caliber.Az reports per the ministry.
The session began with a tribute to Azerbaijan’s National Leader Heydar Aliyev and soldiers killed in service to the country, followed by the performance of the Azerbaijani national anthem.
Colonel Anar Eyvazov, head of the Ministry’s Media and Public Affairs Department, addressed participants and outlined the ministry’s communication strategy and the objectives of the training programme.
According to the ministry, participants received theoretical instruction on topics including information security and protection of state secrets, countering disinformation, crisis communication, military ethics, public diplomacy, and interaction between the armed forces and the media.
As part of the programme, journalists also visited military units of Azerbaijan’s Land Forces, Air Force, and Navy, where they observed daily activities and were shown modern weapons systems and military equipment currently in service.
The event concluded with a discussion session in which media representatives raised questions and proposals, after which certificates were presented to participants.
