Azerbaijan Defence Ministry: Iran’s attacks “will not go unanswered”
The Azerbaijani Defence Ministry is preparing response measures to protect the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, ensure the safety of civilians and civilian infrastructure, and stressed that attacks by Iran “will not go unanswered”, Caliber.Az reports, citing the ministry.
"On March 5, the armed forces of Iran carried out attacks using unmanned aerial vehicles on Nakhchivan International Airport and other civilian infrastructure in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The technical specifications of the UAVs and the details of these attacks are currently being investigated. The Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan strongly condemns attacks by the armed forces of Iran on the civilian infrastructure of our country, where there is no military necessity. Responsibility for the incident lies entirely with the Islamic Republic of Iran," the statement said.
