Azerbaijan discusses cooperation with Ukraine, regional issues with OSCE

25 June 2026 17:08

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has held a meeting with Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Oleksii Kuleba, during which the two sides discussed current issues and prospects for cooperation between Baku and Kyiv on the sidelines of the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC2026) in Poland, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has stated.

In a post on X, it said the sides exchanged views on expanding cooperation, including in trade and investment, as well as deepening ties in energy, infrastructure and reconstruction, Caliber.Az reports.

They also discussed humanitarian initiatives and broader avenues for engagement between the two countries.

"The sides reaffirmed commitment to further advancing its longstanding partnership and supporting efforts aimed at regional stability, sustainable development, and economic prosperity," the statement noted.

Separately, Bayramov also met with OSCE Secretary General Feridun H. Sinirlioğlu to discuss regional developments and Azerbaijan’s cooperation with the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe on the margins of the same conference.

The ministry said Bayramov highlighted the “fundamentally changed realities” in the region and discussed prospects for normalisation, reconciliation and cooperation.

"Minister has emphasised that sustainable peace requires addressing remaining challenges, while fostering dialogue and confidence-building to ensure long-term security and prosperity across the South Caucasus," the ministry stressed.
