Azerbaijan dismisses campaigns aimed at discrediting country – top official
Azerbaijan does not attach importance to campaigns aimed at discrediting the country, Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, said during WUF13 in Baku.
He stressed that the number of forces biased against Azerbaijan is decreasing, as the number of those financing such campaigns is also shrinking, according to local media.
“Over the past five years, the European Parliament has adopted more than 10 resolutions against our country. Those who adopt these resolutions do not even understand what they are talking about,” Hajiyev said.
The presidential aide emphasised that Azerbaijan’s international standing and the policy pursued by the country are evident.
“Today, Azerbaijan acts as one of the diplomatic centres of the world. That is why global issues are discussed in Azerbaijan,” Hajiyev noted.
