Azerbaijan, Ecuador unite on COP29 commitments in productive UN talks
Azerbaijan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Tofig Musayev and Ecuador's Permanent Representative to UN Andrés Montalvo Sosa have discussed commitments related to COP29.
The meeting was reported by Ecuador's diplomatic mission through a post on X, Caliber.Az reports.
The post highlighted that the conversation between the two diplomats was productive, with a focus on key issues on the UN agenda. They specifically addressed the commitments made by countries at the 29th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).
Tofig Musayev, who was appointed Azerbaijan's Permanent Representative to the UN by President Ilham Aliyev in December 2024, has been actively engaging in international discussions on climate change and other global matters.
COP29 presented an opportunity to unite in commitment to a greener world. Collaborating with partners in the MENA region, and through innovation and investment, clear commitment was shown and the tide on climate change was turned.
