Azerbaijan, EU advance talks on green energy corridor project PHOTO
Azerbaijan and the European Union have discussed strategic directions for cooperation in the energy sector, focusing on supply security, diversification of routes, and green energy integration.
Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov shared details of the meeting on his official X account, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Shahbazov met with Cristina Lobillo Borrero, Director of the Energy Platform and International Relations at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Energy (DG ENER). The discussions covered the role of the Southern Gas Corridor in strengthening Europe’s energy security, as well as cooperation on the “Green Energy Corridor Caspian–Black Sea–Europe” and broader regional electricity projects.
“We emphasized the importance of reliable supplies, diversification of energy routes, and the integration of green energy,” the minister noted.
