Azerbaijan, EU discuss Green Energy Corridor, renewables partnership PHOTO
Azerbaijan and the European Union have discussed the implementation of the Green Energy Corridor project, aimed at exporting alternative energy.
Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov met with the EU Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Marijana Kujundzic, to explore opportunities for strengthening cooperation in the energy sector, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The meeting highlighted Azerbaijan’s role as a reliable partner in Europe’s energy supply and recognised the country’s efforts in advancing renewable energy initiatives.
Discussions also focused on continuing collaboration through the “energy dialogue” format, advancing the Southern Gas Corridor expansion project, and cooperation under the EU4Energy programme.
The officials further addressed initiatives in decarbonisation, energy efficiency, hydrogen development, and other emerging energy sectors.
