Azerbaijan, EU explore Zangezur Corridor link to European connectivity network
Azerbaijan and the European Union held discussions on including the Zangezur Corridor in the Trans-European Transport Networks (TEN-T), Azerbaijani Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev announced.
In a post on X, the minister noted that a meeting was held with Gert Jan Koopman, Director General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations at the European Commission, during which the development of transport infrastructure in Nakhchivan and the initiation of a feasibility study in this direction were discussed, Caliber.Az reports.

Nabiyev added that the meeting also covered strengthening human resources in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, as well as the operations of EU companies in Azerbaijan.
“We also explored opportunities for Azerbaijan’s participation in projects under the EU Horizon Europe program,” the minister stated.
He said both sides exchanged views on enhancing capacity and digitalisation along the Middle Corridor, and discussed potential cooperation with the EU in aviation, maritime transport, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.
