Azerbaijan, EU eye expansion of joint projects
Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Economy, Samad Bashirli, met in Baku with Adrienn Kiraly, Director for the Eastern Neighbourhood and Türkiye at the Directorate-General for Enlargement and the Eastern Neighbourhood (DG ENEST) of the European Commission, to discuss ongoing cooperation and the implementation of joint initiatives.
According to the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, the meeting highlighted that cooperation between the European Union and Azerbaijan in areas such as energy, investment, and other sectors continues to contribute to regional development, Caliber.Az reports.
Officials noted that there remains significant potential to further strengthen bilateral collaboration.
During the talks, the sides also reviewed the European Union’s 2024 financing agreement for Azerbaijan, discussed the implementation of joint projects, and exchanged views on additional opportunities to expand economic and development cooperation.
