Azerbaijan explores advanced mine action strategies with China PHOTO
The Azerbaijani delegation, headed by Vugar Suleymanov, Chairman of the Board of the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA), conducted an extended meeting at the People's Liberation Army Engineering University in Nanjing during their official visit to the People’s Republic of China.
During the session, Major General Zhu Xiaoqian, President of the University, provided a comprehensive overview of the institution’s activities and highlighted ongoing scientific research projects in engineering and technology, Caliber.Az reports via ANAMA.
As part of the visit, the delegation toured the University’s laboratories and training facilities, gaining insight into the institution’s material and technical resources.
They observed research laboratories dedicated to mine clearance, explosive device detection, and disposal, and were briefed on the practical exercises conducted at the University’s training grounds, including methodological approaches and technical equipment employed in mine-action training.
This visit reflects Azerbaijan’s commitment to expanding international cooperation in mine action, exploring cutting-edge technologies, and developing partnerships with companies involved in the production of mine clearance equipment.
