Azerbaijan explores UAE experience in digital financial solutions

Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Finance delegation visited Dubai on December 8–9 to explore the UAE experience in digital financial solutions, under a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with the UAE Ministry of Finance.

The meetings focused on learning advanced international practices in public finance management, deepening cooperation at institutional and technical levels, and applying digital financial solutions, Caliber.az reports, citing the Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan.

UAE finance officials presented on decision-making and data analysis platforms in public finance management, public-private partnership models in the public sector, e-tax administration, electronic contracts, treasury management mechanisms, and financial oversight through digital platforms.

The sessions also included exchanges on practical issues.

“These meetings are highly important for improving Azerbaijan’s public finance management system, accelerating digital transformation processes, and enhancing financial management efficiency,” the ministry emphasised.

In May 2025, the central banks of Azerbaijan and the UAE signed a Memorandum of Understanding to deepen cooperation in supervision, regulation, licensing practices, and financial infrastructure systems — along with exchange of technical expertise and joint visits between their institutions.
