Azerbaijan extends crucial support to Türkiye in tackling wildfires Report by Haber Global
Turkish Haber Global TV channel has aired a report highlighting Azerbaijan's significant assistance to Türkiye in combating forest fires, showcasing the deployment of Be-200CS amphibious aircraft sent by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
The report says that the aircraft has been actively engaged in firefighting efforts in the Izmir and Muğla regions, dropping 114 tons of water on affected areas since its arrival, Caliber.Az reports.
The Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations remains on standby to offer further aid if Türkiye requests additional support.
The report also details a recent phone call between Azerbaijani and Turkish presidents, during which Aliyev reaffirmed his country's readiness to provide any further help needed to tackle the fires.
