Azerbaijan facilitates transit of 770 tons of wheat to Armenia PHOTO

A new shipment of wheat from Russia to Armenia was transported through Azerbaijan on June 28, with 770 tonnes of wheat loaded into 11 railcars.

The cargo departed from the Bilajari station operated by Azerbaijan Railways CJSC and is en route to Boyuk-Kasik station, from where it will continue through Georgia before reaching Armenia, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

Previously, more than 34,000 tonnes of grain, around 8,000 tonnes of fertilizers, 133 tonnes of aluminum, 68 tonnes of buckwheat, and 414 tonnes of anthracite were transported from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijan.

In addition, petroleum products are being exported from Azerbaijan to Armenia. To date, deliveries have included more than 14,000 tonnes of diesel fuel, as well as approximately 5,000 tonnes of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline.
