Azerbaijan, FAO discuss food security PHOTO
Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikail Jabbarov has held a meeting with the representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the UN in Azerbaijan, Muhammad Nassar Hayat.
The meeting discussed the potential format of partnership, ensuring food security, the introduction of innovative mechanisms in the agricultural sector and the development of agriculture in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Ministry of Economy.

The minister emphasized the positive impact of Azerbaijan's partnership with FAO on several areas of the economy, including agricultural development, strengthening food security and effective management of natural resources. Joint projects help create favourable conditions for investment and increase employment in the agricultural sector.
Muhammad Nasar Hayat noted that Azerbaijan is one of the significant partners of FAO. A representative of the organization, pointing out the great potential for implementing joint programs in other areas, including the digital development of villages, shared his vision of further expanding the business partnership in new areas.
The parties discussed the potential format of cooperation, ensuring food security, introducing innovative mechanisms in the agricultural sector and developing agriculture in the territories of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation.
