Azerbaijan, Georgia explore new defence industry projects PHOTO

An Azerbaijani delegation led by Deputy Minister of Defence Industry Mehman Bakhishov has concluded an official visit to Georgia focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the defence industry and expanding military-technical ties.

According to Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defence Industry, Bakhishov held talks with Georgian Defence Minister Irakli Chikovani, Deputy Defence Ministers David Kupatadze andGrigol Giorgadze, and David Akhvlediani, Director General of the State Military Scientific-Technical Centre Delta, Caliber.Az reports.

The discussions centered on the current state and future prospects of defence-industrial cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia, with both sides exploring ways to enhance military-technical collaboration and promote the exchange of expertise.

As part of the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation toured the Delta Military Scientific-Technical Centre, Delta-WB, and Tbilisi Aircraft Manufacturing JSC, where officials were briefed on the enterprises' core activities, production capabilities, and advanced technological solutions.

The visit also provided an opportunity to assess new avenues for mutually beneficial cooperation, with the two sides discussing potential joint initiatives aimed at further strengthening defence-industrial partnerships between Azerbaijan and Georgia.
