Azerbaijan, Georgia strengthen security cooperation in diplomatic talks
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Georgia Faig Guliyev has met with the newly appointed head of Georgia’s State Security Service Anri Okhanashvili to discuss strategic cooperation between the two countries in the security sphere.
The meeting, also attended by Irakli Beraia, First Deputy Head of the Georgian State Security Service, focused on strengthening bilateral collaboration in addressing regional security issues, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Both sides reviewed the current geopolitical climate in the region and discussed the challenges and threats facing both nations. Ambassador Guliyev and Okhanashvili stressed the importance of continued close coordination between the respective security institutions of Azerbaijan and Georgia.
During the meeting, Ambassador Guliyev congratulated Okhanashvili on his recent appointment and wished him success in his new role, expressing confidence in the further strengthening of the Azerbaijan-Georgia relations.
