Azerbaijan-Georgia trade jumps over 40% in early 2026
Trade between Azerbaijan and Georgia rose sharply in the first four months of 2026, with total turnover increasing by more than 40% year-on-year, according to official data.
Citing the State Customs Committee, local media said bilateral trade reached $385.5 million in January–April, marking a 41.2% increase compared with the same period in 2025.
Exports from Azerbaijan to Georgia drove the growth, rising 45% year-on-year to $340.3 million. Imports from Georgia also increased, though at a slower pace, climbing 19.1% to $45.3 million.
Georgia accounted for 5.2% of Azerbaijan’s overall trade turnover during the reporting period, highlighting its role as a key regional trading partner.
In terms of trade structure, Georgia represented 2.8% of Azerbaijan’s total exports and 0.8% of its imports.
