Azerbaijan, Germany discuss trade, economic cooperation

Azerbaijani Parliament Speaker Sahiba Gafarova has discussed trade and economic cooperation with outgoing German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ralf Horlemann, the parliament’s press service has stated.

It said the meeting highlighted the diplomat’s contributions to the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Germany, and addressed cooperation between the two countries in trade, economic, and other fields, Caliber.Az reports.

Ambassador Horlemann praised the treatment of German heritage in Azerbaijan, describing it as a sign of tolerance.

He also referred to recent progress in the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, noting that advances in this direction bring peace and stability to the region.
