Azerbaijan has right to expel foreign troops from its lands - US expert

"Azerbaijan has every right to regain all of its territory and remove all foreign troops, whether Russian or Armenian, from its lands."

American researcher, expert on Eastern Europe Janusz Bugajski told Caliber.Az when commenting on local anti-terrorist measures launched today by the Azerbaijani army in the Garabagh region.

"At the same time, Baku must ensure that the civilian Armenian population in Garabagh is treated in accordance with international law. The escalation of armed conflict again underscores the failure of international mediators in restoring Azerbaijan’s borders and the destructive consequence of Moscow’s imperial interference in the South Caucasus," Janusz Bugajski said.
