Azerbaijan highlights digital transformation, innovation at 8th Istanbul Economic Summit
A delegation led by Azerbaijan’s First Deputy Minister of Economy, Elnur Aliyev, is attending the 8th Istanbul Economic Summit in Türkiye, focused on the theme "Artificial Intelligence and the Economy."
The event will last for two days and has gathered representatives from both the public and private sectors, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Speaking at the summit, Elnur Aliyev emphasized the importance of innovation, advanced technologies, and public-private partnerships for sustainable development in today's world. He stated, "This summit is an important platform for discussing cooperation in the fields of technology, artificial intelligence, and Industry 4.0."
The event also highlighted new opportunities arising from the recently held COP29 conference in Azerbaijan. Information was presented on the country's steps towards developing an inclusive economy, creating human capital, and implementing modern knowledge.
Elnur Aliyev shared details on the mechanisms for applying Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, supporting startups, and driving the digital transformation of businesses.
Particular attention was given to the digital economy strategy, which focuses on the development of digital skills and all components of the economy.
The summit includes panel sessions on the digitalization of sectors such as tourism, healthcare, energy, and construction, as well as discussions on the impact of innovation and artificial intelligence. Additionally, digital solutions exhibitions and meetings between public and private sector representatives are being organized.
