Azerbaijan, IFC explore multifaceted cooperation
Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with a delegation of the International Finance Corporation headed by Ines Rocha, Regional Director for Europe, on September 5.
During the meeting, the parties emphasised that Azerbaijan and the World Bank, as well as institutions belonging to the WB group, have established a long-term effective partnership, the Cabinet of Ministers told Caliber.Az.
The importance of the World Bank's partnership with Azerbaijan was noted, and views were exchanged on the preparation of a new cooperation framework for 2025-2029.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the current level of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the International Finance Corporation, results of joint projects implemented in various spheres.
They also discussed opportunities for cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including partnership in the public/private sector format, attraction of foreign investments to Azerbaijan, joint activities within COP29.
