Azerbaijan, Iran discuss expanding cooperation between research centres, socio-political circles
Azerbaijani presidential aide Hikmet Hajiyev held a meeting with President of the Strategic Council for Foreign Relations of Iran Kamal Kharrazi, during which he discussed issues related to the development of cooperation between the research centres of the two countries.
“Azerbaijani presidential aide Hikmet Hajiyev met with Chairman of the Strategic Council for Foreign Relations of Iran Kamal Kharrazi. During the meeting they discussed prospects of strengthening cooperation and organization of mutual visits between research centres, as well as representatives of socio-political circles of the two countries,” the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran said in a post on X, according to Caliber.Az.

For the record, Hajiyev is currently in Iran for an official visit. He held several high-level meetings there, including with Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Ali Akbar Ahmadian, Mehdi Sanaei, Political Advisor to the Iranian President, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, various issues relating to bilateral relations. Discussions included regional cooperation, building trust and eliminating misunderstanding, expanding cooperation beyond diplomacy, and enhancing economic and trade relations.
