The third high-level forum on international cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative was inaugurated in Beijing, where Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasised the fundamental principles of high-quality collaboration within the initiative.
Representatives from over 110 countries attended the forum, which included various sessions such as an opening ceremony and three high-level discussions centred on connectivity, sustainable development, and the digital economy.
The "Belt and Road Initiative," originally proposed by Xi Jinping in 2013, merges the "Economic Silk Road" with the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road." According to official Chinese statistics, this initiative covers a vast area of Eurasia, connecting both developing and developed nations.
