Azerbaijan, Iran to conduct simultaneous tactical exercises
Under the training plan for 2024, Azerbaijan and Iran are set to conduct simultaneous tactical exercises on June 12, with units of the Azerbaijani Army stationed in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The Azerbaijani Defence Ministry informed Caliber.Az about the upcoming exercises, which are part of a bilateral agreement between Azerbaijan and Iran.
"Based on the agreement reached between Azerbaijan and Iran, tactical exercises will be held in the territory of the neighboring state simultaneously with the involvement of the relevant forces and means of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran," the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry said.
During the exercises, coordinated efforts will focus on tasks related to the protection of strategic facilities and communication lines from potential provocation and sabotage activities.
