Azerbaijan, Iraq discuss prospects for trade cooperation

Azerbaijan's ambassador Nasir Mammadov has met with Trade Minister of Iraq Atheer Al-Ghurairi to discuss the current state of bilateral economic and trade relations and explore prospects for future development.

Ambassador Nasir Mammadov provided insights into Azerbaijan's economic reforms and advancements in transport infrastructure, emphasizing the significance of the Alat Free Economic Zone, Azartac reports.

He expressed Azerbaijan`s eagerness to expand economic and trade relations with Iraq.

The Iraqi minister highlighted Baghdad`s keen interest in establishing broad relations and fostering cooperation with Azerbaijan in all areas, including the economy and trade.

They also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
