Azerbaijan, Ireland explore deeper interparliamentary ties PHOTO

Speaker of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova has met with a delegation led by Tony McCormack, head of the Ireland-Azerbaijan interparliamentary friendship group, who is visiting Azerbaijan, to discuss bilateral ties.

McCormack highlighted the existing opportunities for strengthening relations between the parliaments of Azerbaijan and Ireland, stressing that the visit is aimed at advancing this goal, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Parliament.

Gafarova informed the delegation about Azerbaijan’s democratic development and the progress achieved in recent years, as well as the work of the country’s legislative body and its international parliamentary activities.

During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia and discussed other issues of mutual interest.
