Azerbaijan, ISESCO mull issues of mutual interest PHOTO

Within the framework of her official visit to the Kingdom of Morocco, Milli Majlis Speaker Sahiba Gafarova met with the Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (ISESCO) Salim bin Mohammed al-Malik.

Noting the high level of cooperation between Azerbaijan and ISESCO, Sahiba Gafarova stressed that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to cooperation with one of the most important organisations of ISESCO, which makes great efforts in the field of strengthening mutual understanding in the Islamic world, promoting peace and security in the world, the Press and Public Relations Department of Milli Majlis told Caliber.Az.

Salim bin Mohammed Al-Malik congratulated Azerbaijan on receiving the right to host the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), as well as on the announcement of the city of Shusha as the "cultural capital of the Islamic world" for 2024.

Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed at the meeting.
