Azerbaijan, Israel deepen defence collaboration on military-technical cooperation PHOTO

A high-level delegation from the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry is on an official visit to Israel, focusing on strengthening bilateral defence and security ties through expanded military-technical cooperation and joint initiatives in military education and training.

Leading the delegation, Azerbaijani Defence Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov held strategic meetings with Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz and Chief of the General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir, the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry told Caliber.Az.

The talks highlighted the strong and evolving partnership between the two nations, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to enhancing military collaboration and exchanging views on regional and global security issues. As part of the visit, Azerbaijani Deputy Defence Minister and Director General Agil Gurbanov met with Amir Baram, Director General of the Israeli Defence Ministry. The Azerbaijani delegation also toured the IDF's Main Operations Centre, receiving briefings on operational readiness, command systems, and Israel’s integrated defence approach.
