Azerbaijan, Israel explore cooperation in renewable energy

Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov met with Israeli Regional Cooperation Minister David Amsalem on July 16 to discuss bilateral energy collaboration.

The discussions emphasized long-term cooperation in oil supply, petrochemical trade, and downstream projects. Shahbazov and Amsalem also delved into Azerbaijan's initiatives to boost renewable energy within its energy mix, focusing on establishing interregional "green energy corridors".

The ministers exchanged perspectives on expanding relations in renewable energy and other promising sectors, stressing the importance of involving the public-private sector in advancing these initiatives.
