Azerbaijan, Israel sign AI cooperation agreement in Jerusalem PHOTO
Azerbaijan and Israel have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in the field of artificial intelligence, the Prime Minister’s Office announced on February 3.
The agreement was signed by Gen. (res.) Erez Eskel, head of Israel’s National Artificial Intelligence Directorate, and Azerbaijani Digital Development and Transport Minister Rashad Nabiyev, in the presence of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem, Caliber.Az reports via Israeli media.
According to the PMO, the two countries “intend to deepen their ongoing alliance through artificial intelligence.”
The partnership will focus on supercomputing infrastructure, the application of AI in critical civilian sectors, human capital, and joint research.
“We must ensure that we are among the leading countries in this field, and I think we can do much more, and do it better, together,” Netanyahu said at the event.
